Where do you travel?

We’re based in Montrose and serve Susquehanna County, the Scranton area, and surrounding Northeast Pennsylvania counties. The standard $40 travel fee covers trips within 15 miles of Montrose; farther is $1.50 per one-way mile past 15, quoted up front.

What do I need to bring to a notary appointment?

A current government-issued photo ID for every signer and your complete, unsigned document.

Can you tell me what form I need or help me fill it out?

No. Pennsylvania non-attorney notaries can’t give legal advice or draft legal documents; an attorney can help.

How much does a notarization cost?

PA sets maximum fees, such as $5 for an acknowledgment for the first signer and $2 for each additional signer on the same certificate. Mobile travel is separate: $40 within 15 miles of Montrose. A typical Montrose appointment with one signer and two acknowledgments is $10 notary fees plus $40 travel, total $50. Fees are quoted first and itemized.

Do you do evening or weekend appointments?

Yes, by appointment. Before 8 am or after 7 pm adds $35; weekends and holidays add $50.

Questions, answered.

Can you notarize at a hospital or nursing home?

Yes. Call first so we can confirm the signer can communicate, understands what they’re signing, and has valid ID.

7. Do you do remote online notarization?

Not at this time. All signings are in person.

8. Do you do loan signings?

Yes. We handle refinances, HELOCs, purchases, seller packages, and reverse mortgages, from $100 to $200 depending on the package. Travel within 25 miles of Montrose and printing are included. State notary fees are itemized separately on your receipt.

9. Which agents do you do transaction coordination for?

Licensed Pennsylvania real estate agents and teams. We work under your direction and your broker’s policies.

10. When do I pay for transaction coordination?

At closing, through the settlement statement or by invoice. If a file terminates after it’s opened, a $100 file-setup fee applies.

11. Do you give advice on creative financing?

No. We coordinate documents, timelines, and people. Deal structure, legal, tax, and lending questions belong with your attorney, CPA, or lender.

12. What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Notary and signing appointments are free to cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice. The full policy is on our Book & Contact page.
